Songs That Make Me Think of Couples

I don't know who J and Becky are, but awesome tattoos, guys! :)

No, I don't mean real life couples, I just mean the ones that I ship. (Though, I can't help thinking about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles every time I hear "I Knew You Were Trouble". THEY WEREN'T EVEN DATING WHEN SHE WROTE THE SONG! STOP SAYING IT'S ABOUT HIM!)

So, here we go. 

Amu and Ikuto

"Not Like the Movies" by Katy Perry

If you don't know anything about Amu and Ikuto... You should know that Ikuto wasn't the first person she fell for. She first fell for Tadase, the school's super-popular "prince". However, over time she realizes that she only fell in love with Tadase while Ikuto slowly crept into her heart. It wasn't the fairy tale romance; they had quite a few fights and misunderstandings before she came to this realization, but they found each other and everything they went through to get there was worth it.

Yuuki and Zero

"The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry

This song definitely was written for Yuuki and Zero. I mean, for most of Vampire Knight, Yuuki was with Kaname. For the longest time it looked like the Manga would end with Kaname and Yuuki together and Zero being "the one that got away". Luckily, it didn't. I also feel I should note that the chorus reminds me of that conversation Yuuki and Zero had before she wiped all of his memories of her where she wondered what it would be like if they were both humans.

Also, you better like this song. The music video makes me cry.

Katniss and Peeta

"The Only Exception" by Paramore

Oh, where do I begin with this song? I really do feel like this is the perfect song for Katniss and Peeta. Well, on Katniss's side of the relationship. For the longest time, Katniss said she was not going to get married and she definitely wasn't gonna have kids. She didn't think love was worth it if her kids were going to run the risk of being reaped every year. Over time, though, Katniss fell in love with Peeta and I guess made an exception for him. (It also might have helped that there weren't any Hunger Games anymore, but oh well.)

L and Light

"Love You More" by Eminem

Yeah... Kind of ironic that I'm using a song from an artist who has been accused of being homophobic to describe a Yaoi couple. But who the fuck cares? I know I don't.

So, if the L and Light relationship was real and cannon, I'd think this song would describe this couple perfectly. I mean, think about it. Don't you think the relationship would be dysfunction times a hundred? I think the chorus describes what I'm thinking best. The more they challenged each other as Kira and L, the more dysfunctional the relationship would become. They'd hate each other and love each other at the same time.

Anyways, that's all I have for now. Might do another one of these if I have more ideas for songs.
